BURN HALL WINS 7 A SIDE SUMMER FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT


Valley 7-A side football tournament SAHAI GIVES AWAY PRIZES SrinagarJuly 12 2013:Burn Hall School lifted Valley 7-A side summer football tournament 2013 by defeating defeated Star FC Chanapora by 3-2 in the penalty shootout at Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI).The final match which was closely fought between two sides ended in a 1-1 draw at the end of the stipulated time. Earlier, FC Chanapora had scored the goal and maintained the lead till the last movements of the match before Burn Hall level the score when there were only five minutes left for the match. However, in the penalty FC Chanapora missed one penalty to go down in the match by 3-2.On this occasion, Additional Director General of Police S M Sahai was the chief guest while as Chairman GVEI Mohammed Yousuf Wani, Chairman Kashmir Harvard School Tariq Ahmed were the other dignities who witnessed the exciting match.It was the second tournament organized by Football Players Welfare Association during last two years held in Srinagar where the football players under-17 played the tournament. The tournament was organized in collaboration with GVEI and under the aegis of FPAI (Football players Association of India).While speaking on the occasion S.M. Sahai congratulated the players for showing such zeal towards the sports activities. He said that such tournaments should be conducted more often which will encourage and nourish the young talent of valley to play up to the national level.Sahai appreciated President of FPWA, Mehraj-u-din Wadoo for conduct such tournaments and said Wadoo has already proves his metal at international level and has played a vital role in popularizing football and giving prestige to the football players in valley. On this occasion Sahai gave awards and trophies to winners, runner up teams. Awards were also given to tournament organizers, Green valley school for hosting the tournament and media which includes ETV Urdu, Daily Rising Kashmir and Daily Kashmir Images for exclusive coverage of the tournament.Mehraj-u-din Waddo on the occasion also announced the formation of under 16 football team by FPWA where all the players will be provided coaching under the renowned international coach Sajad Dar.Waddo said that the FPWA is also reaching to the other districts of the valley to bring the talent forward in which the association has already nominated heads for Ganderbal and Bandipora.The association has already recruited a very fine young talent from Burn hall school Abrar Rehbar during this tournament for the under 16 selection trial for the national side.

Burn Hall to Clash with Star FC in Finals.


July 7 2013:  Two semi final matches of 2nd Valley 7 A Side Football Tournament  were played at Green Valley Educational Institute Buchpora.In first Semi final match Star FC defeated Ganderbal FC by 3 goals to one. Amir of Star FC was declared man of the match.In 2nd Semi Final Burn Hall School defeated Al Ghazali FC by 4 goals to one. Usman scored hatrik for Burn Hall and was judged man of the match.Burn hall school will take on star FC chanapora in the finals which is scheduled to be played on 9th July at GVEI.The tournament is being organised by FPWA in Collobration with GVEI and under the aegis of FPAI

7 A side summer football tournament-saturday july 6 2013


In ongoing 2nd Valley summer football 7-A  Side Tournament today 4 quarter Final matches were played at Green valley Educational institute Bachpora in todays 1st match Burn Hall School  defeated Young Arafat   by 6 goals Asrar scored hatric while saqib sunaid and Usman scored a goal each Asrar Rehbar  was declared man of the match2nd Match F.C. Ganderbal  defeated  Kashmir Harward   by 4 goals. Zahid Ahmed of Ganderbal  score 2 goals for his team while Asif & Zulfikar manage 1 goal wach Zahid  was judged man of the match.3rd Match Star F.C. Chanapora   defeated Green Valley Educational Institute  by solitary goal Asif Scored the winning goal for Star F.C. Chanapora .Abrar of Star F.C  who saved almost six goals and denied all the scoring efforts  of Green Vally strikers was declared man of the matchIn today’s    4th and last match Al-Gazali  Chanpora  defeated fateh kadal   4-2 . Nauman scored hatric for Al-gazali and declared man of the matchThe two semifinal matches of tournament will be played tomorrow at Green Valley Educational Institute The tournament is being organized by football players walfare association in collaboration with Green Valley Educational Institute & under the aegis of Football Players Association of India.

5 matches played in 7-a-side football tourney at GVEI


Srinagar:In ongoing 2nd Valley summer football 7-A  Side Tournament, five matches were played at Green Valley Educational institute Bachpora.In the first match Green Valley defeated Alochi  Bagh  by 3-1 goals. Eman of Green valley  was judged man of the matchIn the second match, Young Arafat defeated Young Batmaloo by 4-3 goals.Junaid Farooq was judged man of the match.In the 3rd match, Kashmir Harward defeated Mukhtiyar Eleven by a solitary goal Sameer of Kashmir   Harward was man of the match.In the 4th Match, F.C. Ganderbal defeated Etihaad F C by solitary goal. Zulfikar of F.C. Ganderbal scored the winning goal for F.C. Ganderbal. For his efforts and good individual display, he was judged man of the matchIn today’s    5th and last match Star Chanpora defeated Alfata F.C by one goal. Faizan was judged man of the match.The tournament is being organized by Football Players’ Welfare Association in collaboration with Green Valley Educational Institute & under the aegis of Football Players Association of India. 

7 A side summer football tornament started

Sat, 29 June 2013. The second 7-A-Side Summer Football Tournament started at  Green Valley Educational Institute(GVEI) , Buchpora Srinagar.The tournament was inaugurated by the Chairman of  GVEI Mohammad Yousuf Wani. This is for the first time that the tournament on 7-a-side U-17 age group is being conducted. The tournament is organized by Football Players Welfare Association in collaboration with the GVEI and under the aegis of Football Players Association of India (FPWAI) in which 24 teams across the valley will be participating in the tournament. President of FPWAI and ace soccer player Mehraj ud din Wadoo said that there was a need to promote the football at grassroot level and more importantly develop the football culture in the schools.“Green Valley Institute is the ideal place from where we have taken initiative to organize these kids of tournaments/seminars and the authorities have given us all support and cooperation. We are highly thankful to the Chairman and the other supporting staff of Green Valley for helping us in the cause,” he said.On the first day six matches were played.In the first match Green Valley-Blues thrashed Minto Circle by 6-3 goals.  Vamiq Shafi of Green Valley scored the first hattrick of the tournament and was judged the man of the match.In the second match Allochibagh defeated Green Valley Reds by 1-0. Imran Dar of Allochibagh was the only goal scorer of the match.In the third match Ethihad Football Academy defeated JK Football Academy by 2-1 in tie breaker.The fourth match was won by Burnhall School against Al-Saher Chattergam FC by 3-1goals.The fifth match was won by Alfateh FC by 2-1 against Challenger Football Academy, Natipora and in the last encounter of the day Star Chanapora thrashed Peace Football Academy Rainawari by 7-1. Asif Malik was declared man of the match for his brilliant display.

FPWA to organise U-17 Football Tournament

Srinagar, June 23rd 2013 Srinagar: Football Players Welfare Association (FPWA) is collaboration with Green Valley Educational Institute is going to organize under-17 open 7-a-side football tournament at Green Valley to begin from June 28. This is for the second time that FPWA will be conducting football tournament on 7-a-side format. The tournament is aimed to improve the soccer skills at the grass root level. “We have kept the competition open and the teams will be entertained on the first come first serve basis,” said FPWA President Mehraj-ud-din Wadoo. Wadoo said the small-sided tournaments will not only help players develop their physical and technical abilities but the spectators would also enjoy watching. He said Green Valley School has always been on the forefront when it comes to the development of sports. “We are thankful to the Green Valley authorities for providing us every support and help and I hope they will continue to do this in future as well,” said Wadoo. Nisar Hussain has been appointed as the Organising Secretary of the tournament. For registration of forms will be available at Hotel Marhaba. The teams are requested to register their names by or before June 26. Kashmir are eligible for participation. The event will be held for four to five days and it will carry cash prizes for both teams and individual winners.FPWA has appointed veteran footballer Nisar Hussain as event organising secretary
