For Kashmiri footballers, association launched by India midfielder Mehrajuddin Wadoo is offering a ray of light through the beautiful game. Mehraj hit upon the idea of floating an organization for the development of the game in valley and help poor footballers of state. Some of his friends and mehraj decided to do something for players belonging to the valley. The FPWA was launched in June 2009.The FPWA will help them as well as train youth and children and groom them to be football players.

FPWA organises football awareness camp at DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL SRINAGAR

The three-day football awareness camp organised by Football Players Welfare Association (FPWA) started at Delhi Public School Athwajan here on Thursday.
On the first day of camp around 35 students of the School attended the camp.
The camp is being lead by international footballer and President FPWA Mehrajuddin Wadoo.
On the inaugural day of the camp Wadoo interacted with the participants and shared his knowledge about football with them. Students enjoyed their day and they relished opportunity to interact with Mehrajudin Wadoo.
Apart from Wadoo FPWA had also deputed its other coaches Sajid Yousuf Dar, Hilal Rasool Parray, Shanulbashir and others. Team had also brought along with its physiotherapist Asim.
“The main aim of this camp is to aware boys who are interested in football at the right age which will help them in developing and building up the sports man character among them” said Mehrajuddin Wadoo.
Wadoo thanked the school authorities for providing them all the facility and support for making this event a successful one. The camp will continue till Saturday and after that the football awareness programme would also be held in other schools of the Valley.
