Wadoo’s academy to train coaches first


The recently launched Wadoo and Friends Football Academy is going to send its three coaches for advanced training scheduled to be held in New Delhi.The Football Players Welfare Association (FPWA) in collaboration with Football by Carlos Quirez (FBCQ), Portugal based football programme company, SPUNP recently launched Wadoo and Friends Football Academy. The academy has set up roadmap to make it a full fledged world class academy in future. The FPWA which will run academy in Valley is gong to work step by step and first major step in that direction is to send its coaches for specialised training to New Delhi.The three chosen coaches by FPWA will leave for month long training from Valley on Wednesday. The trio includes two well known professional coaches of valley, Sajid Yousuf Dar, Hilal Ahmad Parray and third one is youngster, Shanul Bashir.Giving details about the training, International footballer Mehrajuudin Wadoo who is currently in Dubai along with national football team said: “We will launch academy only after perfecting the basic things involved with it. The first thing towards that is to send coaches for advanced training to New Delhi. In the camp, trainers from Portugal will train the coaches from all over country.”“For the last one month we were not able to decide whom to send for the training. After deliberations we decided to send these three,” he said.Wadoo said that they are interested to increase the base of coaches in Valley in order to strengthen the Academy and for that they welcome any coach.“At present we gave chance to three and in future we will send anyone whom we find worth for the training. For that we inform any coach throughout valley who is interested and hardworking that they can contact FPWA officials anytime,” Wadoo said.The coaches after completing month long training at New Delhi will start basic training in Valley.When asked about the academy launched, he said: “We will start basic model of academy immediately after coaches will return from New Delhi. The training will be started during winter.”“We want to make a round the year game. We will train young kids during harsh winter season.”Wadoo said that they are in talks with FBCQ and SPUNP people about sending valley coaches for training to Portugal.
